Considered to be the best of the first three states.
This etching was Griggs's Diploma work submitted to gain election to the Royal Society of Painter-Etchers and Engravers in 1916. An impression, in this state, was shown at the Society’s exhibition in the same year.
Griggs described Priory Farm as ‘original - not suggested by anything I can remember’.
