Signed and titled by the artist in pencil (1924-5). Printed on wove paper. Published by the Twenty-One Gallery, London.
The Black Rabbit from which the title derives, refers to the pub in the centre of the composition. The view depicted is the River Arun from Arundel Park in Sussex. Produced in his second year at Goldsmiths' college, the skill the young artist displays in the medium of etching is prodigious, particularly his regard for composition and the great wealth of detail inherent in the work.
